Welcome to Coronado Padel Club Jandía

Padel explained
In short, Padel is a mix of tennis and squash, but much easier to learn and master.
A playing field, called the 'Court', is 20 x 10 meters in size, significantly smaller than a tennis court, and typically made of artificial grass with quartz sand to provide better sliding. In the center, there is a net, just like in tennis. The court is surrounded on the sides by fences and on the ends by glass walls. These walls are part of the playing field and can - and should - be used, making the game particularly fast-paced and dynamic, leading to long and spectacular rallies. The game is played in doubles, with teams of two players each. This turns the game into a shared experience with friends.
Padel is played with special rackets that are smaller and lighter than tennis or squash rackets. They don't have strings but feature a hard surface with holes. This makes them much easier to control. The balls used are slightly softer than those used in tennis.
As a result, Padel requires less strength and technical skills compared to tennis. Anyone can learn and play it quickly and will enjoy it from the very first time. This makes it an ideal sport and game for all age groups, for beginners and advanced players, with or without tennis experience.
In Padel, the focus is more on the shared experience rather than achieving athletic feats - the perfect combination of fun with friends and a sporting workout.
